Art of Marriage Applause

What a heartbreak it is to hear news of yet another divorce in the military.  We are so saddened because of the great answers there are if only people would have open hearts to hear.  Part of our jobs are to uplift and appreciate the military couples who attend the local Weekend Getaways which is a part of the Family Life ministry.  Our CRU Military is partnering with these wonderful staff, who have as their only focus, successful marriages and families. The newest product put out by Family Life is The Art of Marriage DVD series. We have taken part in several Art of Marriage events, also a vision of the Family Life people, where military couples only have been in attendance. We have also witnessed couples who had divorce papers in their purses and briefcases and attended one of these eye-opening events only to walk away renewed and ready to lay a better foundation with Christ as the fulcrum.  We are leading a group of young Marine officers and their wives through the six week DVD series for small groups and we are having some interesting conversations.  These young Marines are having some ‘Aha moments’ even though some have been married over 10 years.  One of the young couples are already strategizing on who to ask to the next session after the first six weeks are completed.  Now that is catching a vision and using it for ministry!!  With just a bit of training and walking through the series once with them, we see they are ready to launch into a ministry with fellow Marine couples.  We applaud all who step out of their comfort zone and take on the joy of seeing transformed marriages where communication is improved, affirmation is spoken and love grows deeper with the use of this product.
